THE BLACK LABOUR QUESTION
.NEITHER “YES” NOR “NO’ FROAI AIR REID. (Received Alarch 17, 5.15 p.m.) BRISBANE, March 17. Tho Hon. G. H. Redd opened his cam - paign in Queensland by a visit to Tcvjwoomba. In replying to Mr Barton, Mr Reid fought shy of the coloured labour question, and said he would defer expressing definite views until he had a fuller opportunity of studying the question. He intended to make a month’'tour, probably next month, in Northern Queensland before coming to a decision.
THE NEAV ZEALAND COMMISSION
(Received Alarch 18, 0.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 17. Tho New Zealand Federation Commissioners held a' formal meeting yesterday. Tho Colonial Secretary has supplied them with much statistical information. The Commissioners meet Mr Barton on Tuesday.
