WEDNESDAY COMPETITION. The match Drapers v. Orientals was concluded at the Basin Reserve yesterday and resulted in a draw much in favour of the Drapers. The latter, batting first, compiled 167—Dixon 79. Tucker 15, Gibson 20, Paul 18, Talbot jli, Pairburn 15. Orientals, first innings, 71 —Cooke 13. Billman 20; second innings, 124—Fulton 53, France 17, Billmon 12. Truscott 15 notout. King-16. The Drapers, with only seven minutes'to play and 29 runs to win, made 19 for one racket—Gilson 15 not’out. Billman vai ibe only bowler who was successful for Oriental, capturing six wickets for 70 runs. For the Drapers Dixon captured twelve wickets for 66, Gibson two for 54. and Dutbie three for 45.
