YACHTING
The committee of the Port Nicholson Yacht Chib held its monthly meeting at the club’s shod last night, Mr A. U. Turnbull, Commodore of the club, being in the chair. The treasurer, Mr C. J. Cooper, presented the interim balance-sheet .which showed a satisfactory condition of affairs, there being a balance on the credit side. It was resolved that the "At Home” should be held at Day’s Bay next Saturday, th" Duchess taking members off the club over in the morning and afternoon. The tender of Minifie’s Band was accepted for the music required. The committee decided to allot Mr C. S. Clarke’s cup to the General Handicap on regatta day. which race w r as won by Jennie Reid, sailed by Mr Jno. Black.
