WELLINGTON GUARDS. The “A’’ mid "B” Classes held their fourth competitoii for class trophies at Karori Range on Saturday. “A” Class fired ten shots at 500 and 700 .yards, and “B” Class ten shots at 300 yards (handicap). The sLaothi", although, fair, was not quite up to its usual standard, this being accountable for by a tricky wind and bad light. In both classes there are three prizes, the highest aggregate scorers (handicap included) in six matches becoming the winners. There are still two matches! to go in “A" Class, which means forty more shots per man, so it looks as if there will be a keen finish, although, for first position, at present Private Raven and Sergeant Leslie have the best positions. In “B” Class tho four leading, men are all close log;!her. Below are the best scores made on Saturday iu each class, and also the best highest aggregate scores in the four matches fired:

The Highland Rifles completed their series of male lies for class trophies at Karori on Saturday. - The conditions for the last competition were seven shots each at 500 and 700 yards. Owing to the large number of competitors using the range it was too dark for good scoring when the 700yda range was commenced. The following are the highest scores:— "A” CLASS.
