Midway to Berlin the Kaiser telegraphed to Count von Bulow, the Im perial Chancellor, stating that he was suffering some pain, but was otherwi e well.

Tho Empress and Count von Bulow awaited his arrival at Berlin.

Indignation was expressed in the Reichstag and in the press, combined with satisfaction that the Kaiser’s life was preserved. Many heads of States have telegraphed their sympathy. King Edward’* message was the earliest to arrive.
