The Hon J. G. Ward will return from his Northern tour by the Takapuua tins morning. Tho Rev W. O. Water's, vicar of St. Peter’s, has returned from England by way of Sidney and Auckland, and has resumed charge of the parish. Mr Waters has greatly benefited by his holiday. Mr John D. Spreckles, of tho Oceanic Steamship, Company, will not be able, as he originally intended, to visit the principal ports of the colony as he will be obliged to return to San Francisco at an early date. Calls were made for Mr Sydney Kirkcaldie, who, in a speech in reply, announced that it was the intention of the company to give a stocktaking dance in July. A couple of hours were subsequently spent with music and dancing.
