THE SYDNEY RAILWAY SMASH. (Received March 7, 11.47 p,.m.) SYDNEY, March 7. _ The inquest into the death of the victims of the Sydenham railway accident is proceeding. A mass of evidence has been taken regarding the condition of the line, much of it centring round a dented; rail that was removed after the accident. Some of the witnesses hold that this caused .the accident, but experts declare that the rail was dented by the engine after it was derailed.
