The Eotorua came off the Patent Slip yesterday afternoon and resumed her running to Pieton and Nelson in the evening. Mr J. K. Chase, a member of the famous Bengal pilot service, who is. a guest on board* the Dalhousie, having joined the vessel in Wellington,- speaks in glowing terms of the intercolonial steamers of the Union Company, in one of, which he travelled from Australia to this colony. He says that the big liners running between Europe and India are very inferior to the re'd-fnnnel boats in appointments, cnisine and attendance. ’■' The Indradevi arrived in, port from Napier last evening. Since leaving Wellington she has been picking up cargo at different ports. The following is a complete list of the cargo taken in the colony to date:—Auckland—62s cases of gum, 171 bales of flax, 305 hales of wool. 26 casks of pelts. Dunedin—s 34 hales of wool, 21 bales of rabbit skins, 40 hales of skins. 3 hales of horsehair, 16 casks of -pelts. Tim am—s72o hags of wheat, 623 bags of barley. 655 bags of oats, 189 bales of wool. Lyttelton—lss bales of wool, 122 casks of pelts, 6 bales of skins. 3830 bags of oats. ' 6t73 bags of wheat, 102 bags of peas. Sydney and New Zealand ports on January 10th, has 605 tons of cargo for Wellington. She is expected to reach this port towards the end of the month. The New Zealand Shipping steamer Banffshire sailed for London via Monte Video and Teneriffe yesterday afternoon.
