Laws, Murphy, Osborne, Scott, Trureott: emergencies. King and Wells. Mr F. Ruldifoi-d, one of the earliest >lawera settlers, who died recently near Hawera, was a son of Mr D. Piddiford. of the ffnft. As a young man be excelled in all kinds of sport. In 1875 or 1870 be was a member of the Taranaki cricket, team which played against Lillywhite’s English Market team at New Plymouth. Later on lie played at 'Wanganui against the first Australian team.
