Styles. The Thorndoh Amateur Swimming Club held a most successful carnival, on Saturday afternoon at the Thorndon Baths. There was a good attendance of spectators. The swimming was very satisfactory. and the club’s handicappers are to be congratulated on the fine finishes. The principal event of the day, the Ladies’ Bracelet, was .won by Mr A. M. Samuel, in the good time of 33sec. E. T. Hegglun (Blenheim) managed to touch first in the 220 Yards Handicap, which was nil questionably the finest race provided.
