Mr A. C. Eventually it was resolved that Air Canghey be allowed to give his reasons for nominating the conference c-bmmittee.

Mr Caughey showed that the capita! c,f the Church Building and Loan Fund (over £8500) was supposed to be lent to tho church trusts free of interest, while in. reality it cost tho church more per annum for administration and repayments than would be paid if (Jic same money wore borrowed from tho

Auckland Savings Bank. The following were selected to constitute the committee:—Auckland District —Rev H. R. Dewsbury, Mr T. Alien and Mr A. C. Caughey. Wanganui—Rev George 'Bond and Air E. Dixon. Wellington—-Rev AA 7 . C. Oliver and Air C. W. Benhow. Nelson—Rsv J. S. Smalley and Mr AA r . 11. Hodgson. Christchurch —Rev AV. Lea, Air E. Lloldgata and Air J. T. Brown. Otago— Rev P. AV. Fairclough and Air E. Rosere a r.

The motion that a committee be appointed was carried by 82 votes to 23. The report of the representative committee will be presented on Alonday.

Reeves; Canterbury : J. C. Prudhoe, H. AV. Peryman; Nelson: AA r . TI. Hodson, E. Snodgrass; Otago : E. Rcsevear, C. Duke.

The Conference then adjourned till nine o’clock this morning, when proceedings will bo conducted in camera.. The public meeting will be resumed at 7 two o’clock.

Tho AA 7 esleyan Conference conversazione, held in the AVesley Hall, Taranaki street, last night, was in every way a remarkable success, both as regards attendance and tho quality of the entertainment provided. As era of the speakers remarked, such a gathering was some compensation for the weary moments of tho conference. Addresses were delivered by tho Revs J. J. Lewis, P. AV. Fairclough, AA 7 . Baumber and Air J. G. Allen (Upper Thames). Musical items were contributed by Air K. B. Williams (songs), Airs Alnrdoch (harp solo), Aliss Winnie Birch (song) mid Mr C. J. Hill (flute solo). Refreshments were served during the evening. Tim. National Anthem was sung at the close! of the proceedings. ]
