The Senior Championship matches will bo resumed on tho Basin Reserve this atternoou, the Phoouix resuming i-jiejr contest with Old Boys on No. 3 wicket, and the Wellington meeting Midland on No. 1. Tho latter match, should provide an exciting contest, for on its result iu •'.. .'h f ' measure depends the possession of the senior cup. It has been'decided to give tho public an opportunity of subscribing to the funds of the association, and arrangements have been made to Lave boxes presented! by prominent coinmittccpien to the notice of every person whoso enthusiasm for cricket draws him to the ground. The association has had to contend against many adverse circumstances this season, and it hopes that the monetary- response will be adequate. , 'T'lk; unfinished match Midland third v. Old Boys third will be played off on tho Basin Reserve on Monday evening at 5.15 sharp.
