AUCKLAND JEWEL ROBBERY
ACCUSED A COMMERCIAL TRAVELLER. PBESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, February 20. Waugh, who is reported by cable to have been ancsted in Sydney on a charge of theft of jewellery, belonged to Dunedin. He had been m the employ of Mr Cchen about a month. He is charged with stealing jewels with which he had been entrusted as commercial traveller for Mr Cohen. Tl.c amount involved is believed to bo considerable. A. cablegram received by the police states that a large quantity of jewellery was found on the accused. A local officer will ho sent over to escort Waugh hack.
