The muster.of the different corps of the AVellington Garrison yesterday was below the average recorded on the occasion of the welcome to the Imperial Representative Corps last month. The diminution was yi_a pleasure due to the uncertainty which prevailed as to whether or not the day would he observed as a public half-holiday Another factor militating against the attendance of volunteers was the rooted objection held by the majority to doing police duty. The total of yesterday’s muster was under five hundred.
