BUSINESS NOTES
Applications , will be received up to February 18 for the positions of senior and junior house surgeons to the Dunedin Hospital. A notice to consignees of cargo by the Cornwall appears in this issue. The two suburban landed estates, viz., the Hannah estate at Khandallah and the Mellow estate at the Hutt. which Macdonald, "Wilson and Co. are to submit to are attracting a good deal of attention from investors and others. Large numbers took advantage of the holiday yesterday to inspect the sections to be submitted. Each of the sections on the two blocks is marked by flags denoting the number -of the allotment, which should be a great help to those making an inspection. Messrs Macdonald, Wilson and Co. will sell to-day, at 1.30 o’clock, on the premises, Tennyson, street Toff Cambridge terrace), the whole of the household furniture and effects. The New Zealand .Loan and 'Mercantile Company wiTTsell stock at Palmerston North to-morrow, Mr W. F. Shortt will sell at his mart at 11 a.nu and .2.30 p.m. to-day a quantity of watches, jewellery, etc., and some homer pigeon's;; --
