'Wiird, in reply to tho deputation of February last, with regard to various railways matters. In tho course of his reply, the Minister said that free passes for large users of the railway could not bo granted'. Annual tickets for both Islands could not bo charged at the same price, as the mileage differed greatly. Many of the demands of tho deputation had already been provided for in the new railway scheme. The Chamber expressed the hope that the Minister would issue sectional tickets.
