REINFORCEMENTS.
CAPETOWN, January 22. Three batteries of artillery and five thousand troops have arrived at Capetown since Friday last. ADVICE TO MINISTERS. Yesterday the Government received, a cablegram from the Agent-General ns tollows,. under date London, 22nd January. 8.10 p.m. ; - Lieutenant-General Warren. with three brigades, pushed 'ck-'-.ij’.; force; -erne- distance on the 10th and 20th. The enemy's forces retired coolly. Our loss was 350. On Saturday- night Warren’s force was twenty miles west. Nothing known ns to the means cf subsistence in Ladysmith. * M-ijor-GonfraT Lyttelton, with one brigade, is still at Potgicti'r’s, Drift. A decisive, battle is’ expected.
