r-r (,-r-BUSH FIRES. c* AUCKLAND, Tuesday. Bush fires, are raging, on the hills near iCoromandel. t A large fire has destroyed of kauri timber at MePcury "Bay. There are also fifes on the lower spurs of the Tokatea ranges. The fourteen-roomed residence of Mr Reynolds at Bombay was burned down early this morning. - The. piano, silver, and sonle clothing were saved. The building-whs insured-for the sum of £3OO, but there was no insurance on the furniture.
McniicpFs barn, engine-house* sheeh.fards ' and loose-boxes at Cievedoh 1 were, completely, destroyed by fire about midnight on‘ ‘ Saturday.- The loss is a' heavy one, as the- barn was filled with this seasdn’fe<crop to be cut into chaff. The chaff-cutting engine and plant were wo’rth £IOO. There was no insurance, on the'buiMiigs or stock.
