DEPARTURE OF THE CONTINGENT. The next great public event succeeding the departure of our brave contingent will be the opening to-morrow morning of the eleventh great drapery sale at “The Economic." Since the last one was held in July last the ground floor area of “The Economic” has been nearly doubled. Messi-s George and Kcrsley anticipate that the additional jf.pacc’ thus provided null be sufficient to accommodate the enormous crowds of buyers who patronise them without the unpleasant crushing that has hitherto been attendant on these occasions. To realise the balance of their stocks immense reductions hare been ma.de that may fairly be designated a great crash in prices. A supplement will be issued in the “Times” to-morrow morning, giving a detailed list of reductions that will astonish the public.
