The attention of advertisers and correspondents is directed to the following rules: When no order is given, advertisements will be inserted until countermanded, and charged accordingly. Orders to withdraw advertisements must be sent to the Publishing Office, in wilting, not later than 6 o'clock p.m. each dav. Instructions by telephone cannot be accepted. - All communications intended for the news or correspondence columns should be addressed to “The Editor.” All letters and communications on business should bo addressed to " The Manager." All communications intended for insertion in the "New Zealand Times” must be written on one sido of the paper only, and accompanied by the name and address of the writer, not necessarily for publication, but as a guarantee of good faith. The proprietors reserve to themselves the right of withholding from publication any advertisement they may deem to be. objectionable, although it may have been received in the ordinary course of business.
