MEETINGS AND LECTURES.

AN GLO-ISR AELITES. The Rev J. Idrisyn Jones, of Melshpool, Wales, who is announced to deliver a lecture at the Opera House to-night, entitled “The Expansion of the British Empire,” arrived yesterday by Hie Rotoiti from Auckland. At a meeting of the British Israel Association he’d last night, Mr Jones was cordially welcomed by the newly-formed association. *As Mr Jones will not leave for Sydney until Saturday, he has consented to deliver another lecture in St. John’s Church, Wilds street, the chinch having been placed at his disposal by tne sesrroii. The Rev Jas. Paterson will preside. The title of Mr Jones’s address at St. John’s wdl be “Hie Hebrew Origin of the Anglo-Saxon Race.”
