Sealed tenders will be received by the Commissioner of Police up till the 20th inst, for the supply of 100 night duty coats.

Estimates for the installation of acetylene gas are given free of charge on application to Messrs S. T. Clayden, cart of P. H. Miller, Parish street. The new American Taylor system of dress-cutting is being taught by Miss M. T. King, of Vivian street. Agents tc introduce the" system are wanted. All claims (up to and including June 24th) against the firm of Messrs Scoullar and Chisholm and the estate of the late Arthur Scoullar must be rendered at the office of the firm oil or before ,the 17Mi inst. Notice is also given that .payment of all outstanding debts due to the firm of Scoullar and Chisholm, and the late Mr Arthur Scoullar, is requested to be made on or before August Ist. Tenders are called for the printing of the burgess rolls for the-city. The London Dental Institute advertises terms on which artificial teeth, may bt obtained at‘ its establishment. Extractions by this firm are said to be absolutely safe and painless. A loan appropriation will be decided at a meeting of the Petone Co-operative Building Society to be held on Saturday , Mr G. G. Schwartz invites tenders for the erection of a cottage at Worser Bay. Messrs Francis Sidey and Co. will sell by public auction a splendid lot of furniture, cooking utensils, etc. Mr M. MoKain, of the Railway Store, Lower Hutt, advertises the sale of bread at 2id instead of 3d. “The sensation of Cuba street” is the description applied to a special line of ladies’ sailor and fancy straw hats shown by James Smith and Sons, the New House, Cuba street. These are shown in a special department. Messrs Levin and Co. have a sevenroomed house in Broadway terrace to let. Messrs Townsend and Paul are to sell by auction on Thursday afternoon a choice consignment of shrubs and flowering plants from the nurseries of Mr D. MeIndoe (Epsom) and Mr J. Goddard (Havelock).
