PARR'S BANK ROBBERY.
TWO MORE NOTES DISCOVERED. (Received Max' 91. 9.15 p.m.) LONDON, Saturday. Two more of the notes that were stolen from Parr’s Bank have heen discovered. They were cashed at the bank. [This robbery took place on January 23 at the chief office of Parr’s Bank, Bartholomew lane, London, when Bank of England notes for the substantial sum of £60,610 were stolen, the amount being made un ns follows: £36,000 in notes of £IOOO each, £II,OOO in notes of £SOO each, £I4OO in notes of £2OO each, £I2OO in notes of £IOO each and £llO in notes of £5 each. At the annual meeting of the bank on the 26th January the chairman said that the robbery would have no effect on the dividend. Ho made the usual motion for the adoption of the report, but rose again almost immediately to announce that £40,000 of the stolen notes—the whole of those for £IOOO and- eight for £SO0 —had come back to the bank by post. On the 30th April a man named Richards, a .jeweller, was arrested on a charge of having possession of three of the stolen notes.]
