WEATHER IN THE NORTH
SEVERE FROSTS IN THE LAKE DISTRICT. PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Saturday. The “ Herald’s ” Rotorua correspondent states that during the last few days the weather has been extremely cold, and Tarawera has been white with snow. On Tuesday morning 7deg. of frost were registered by the instrument in the Sanatorium grounds, and on Wednesday lldeg., and on Thursday morning 14deg. At Galatea the cold was intense, and considerable falls of snow have , taken place on the higher lands. %
