“NEW ZEALAND MAIL."
A NEW DEPARTURE. ;** Commencing with nest week’s ■ issue the “ New Zealand Mail,” one of the oldest-established weekly journals in the colony, will appear as an illustrated journal. ' Four pages of well-chosen illustrations, largely referring to local and district subjects of special and topical interest, will be given in each week’s issue, and subscribers and the public generally are invited to send in photographs of all kinds which may be suitable for reproduction in a weekly newspaper. In the present week’s issue of the “Mail” will be found the first of a series of articles entitled “ Some Sydney Sketches.” Editorial notes in the Farmers’ Pages arc headed “Farmers’ Clubs,” “A Country Member on Country Questions” and “Bicycle-Shear-ing.” In the Ladies’ Pages .“ Erie ” has a brightly-written account of the very successful “ All Nations Bazaar.” The Literary Page, contains reviews of Professor Spencer and Mr Gillen’s important contribution to the study of Australian anthropology, “The Native Tribes, of Central Australia,” and of E.
