Clahke. —There is no "Church of New Zealand/’ The Church’ of England in New Zealand is as much a sect as any other denomination. Each sect belie vet itself to be "the Church”; one of tht smallest inferentially claims to be the ■ only "Church of Christ.” It is, we believe, the case that the Archbishop of Canterbury has no control over the Anglican Church in this country; and the Anglicans heretcould, if they chose, drop the prayer book, the Athanasian creed and everything else.
