A GREAT GOLD MINE. • AUCKLAND, Monday. The result of the past month’s operations at the Waihi. Company's mine shows that 7534 tons were treated, and yielded bullion valued at £22,779. This is the largest return for any one month this year. The Waihi Silverton. mine has crushed 1000 tons of ore for 6400 z of bullion: valued at £1414. SUCCESS OF THE PROGRESS MINES, t REEFTON. Monday. The Progress Mines of New Zealand Company, Limited, has declared a dividend (the first) of Is per share, payable 1 on and after May 12th. The company’s clean-up for the month of April gave a total return of bullion to the value of £7463 from 3624 tons milled (yield £6044) and seventy tons chlorinated (yield £1408). / .
