ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
New Plymouth,, Monday. News has been received from Okato of the accidental drowning of Andrew O’Conner, aged 18, while bathing in a dam on Sunday. - Auckland, Monday. During the service in the Church of Christ last night Mrs Mary Ann Miller died suddenly of heart failure. At the inquest a verdict of death from heart disease was returned. 1 A steerage passenger by the Waibora from Sydney for Auckland, named Gubbay, was found dead in bis berth on board on Sunday evening. Me was an Arab, and was accompanied fay his wife. The jockey McCallum, who was injured at the Otahubu Trotting Club’s meeting, has recovered consciousness, and is progressing favourably.' ' . A young man named Mott, aged 20, was drowned, at Tuakau .while bathing. Re was a meiriber.of the. Ponsonby Nava-ls, and a son of Mr Mott, expressman,; of :Ponsonby; ' ' •
