■ The “ North Otago Times ” has received from a settler of Kurow a most remarkable potato. The potato was never put in ! the ground, but nature asserted itself, and from: within itself it has evolved a couple of smaller potatoes that peep out at the sides of the parent potato ! like young marsupials from the pouch that nature has provided for them. The potato is a curiosity.
