Won by a length and a half. Time, 2min 27 l-oseo. Two accidents occurred during the Wairoa Hurdles. Sea Song fell, and was subsequently shot. Navarre also came down, and the jockey (Hayes) was severely injured, -He is in a critical condition.

CANTERBURY SUMMER MEETING; Christchurch, February 25. There was magnificent weather for the second day of the C.J.C. Summer Meeting, but the attendance was only fair. The sum of £5299 was put through the totalisator. At- a meeting of stewards; R. J.
