GUN CLUB ASSOCIATION.

At a meeting of delegates of various gun clubs, held at the Trocadero last night, a , New Zealand Gun Club Association was formed and officers elected. ' A y ear ago, at the instigation of the Marlborough Gun Club, a meeting of delegates was held in this city, and it was decided to form an association. A crnnmittee was appointed to draft a constitution and Shooting rules. . These were sent to the various clubs for their consideration, Mr W. A. Aldred, representing the Wellington Gun Club, occupied the chair at last night’s meeting. There were also in attendance as delegates Messrs J. H. Lloyd (Blenheim), W. S. Broderick (Papanui), E. M. D. Whatman (Masterton), C. H. Chavannes (Wanganui), -Paul Hunter (Waipukurau), C. J. ’ Mackersey (Napier), and W- H- Tisdall (Gisborne). Messrs C. H. Gorriok (Sydney) and F. H. Redwood (Marlborough) were also present. It was resolved last year that an association should be formed, with headquarters in Wellington. The proposed constitution and rules were inow considered, and after discussion and amendment they were adopted., The rules contemplate shooting at inanimate as well as live birds. Mr Thomas Wilford was elected first president oT the ■■association:" and Messrs Joe 11. Redwood and C. 11. Chavannes vice-presidents. Mr W. IT. Tisdall was appointed treasurer, Mr C. J. Allan honorary secretary. and Messrs C. M. 11. M hatman. .1. H. Lloyd, C. J.- Mackersey, W. S. Broderick and W'. A. Aldred were constituted the committee.
