DARING HIGHWAY ROBBERY.

By Telegraph,—j ssociation. — Copyriaht, ’ Perth, May 23. A daring case of robbery under arms has occurred at Guiidl'jid, a few miles from Perth. Mr Ford, secretary of the Peninsula Brick Works, was, with an employee of the company, driving from the city works with a bag containing £95 for the payment of wages, when three armed and masked men rushed from the bush.

One of them seized the horse's head, and the others demanded the money. Mr Ford attempted to whip up the horse, but the robber drew a revolver, and shot him through the fleshy part of the forearm.

The wounded man and his companion were then hound and gagged, and the robbers decamped with the money. The horse and buggy were found three miles from the scene. No arrests have yet been made.
