SPECIAL ORDER. is hereby given that the followiug resolution was passed by way of Special Order at a Special Mooting of tbo City Council, held on Monday, the Kith inst., at 7.30 p.m., viz. : That the Council hereby resolves, by Special Order, to borrow, by way of Special Loan, the sum of THIKTYSIX THOUSAND POUNDS. for the purposes mentioned in Clause 3 of the “ Wellington City Empowering Act, 1807.” Notice is alsolhereby given that such resolution will bo submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Council, to be held on Thursday, the 16th day of Juno, at 7.30 p.m. J. TVTOTICE is hereby given that the followi ing resolution was passed by way of Special Order, at a special meeting of tbo City Council held on MONDAY, the 2nd instant, at 7.33 p m , viz ; That the triangular strip of land, part of Lot 46, Victoria street, containing i-10th perch, and having a length of 30.45 links by an altitude of 5.7 links, and lying between Victoria street and the section of land to be conveyed to Messrs Campbell and Dutch, and shown on apian deposited at the Town Clerk’s office, Wellington, be hereby dedicated as and for a public street in order that Victoria street may be widened thereby. On Monday the Coach will run on to Otaki to suit the tide. There is a beantifnl stretch of bard beach miles between these places, and as the fare is only 10s, Mr Sinclair should have a foil complement of passengers. The Coach will return after the races, and is due in Wellington on Friday afternoon. Ring up 333 for information.
