Special to The Times. Mabteeton, May 17. A youth named Cornelius Leahy broke bis leg above the ankle whilst playing in the State school grounds to-day. It is expected that Mr Napier Bell will present his repot t to the Borough Council to-night us to tho feasibility of the water and drainage scheme as formulated by Mr EyynolrU It ia thought that Mr Bell’s report will be adverse to the scheme. If so, much discussion will be caused. It is rumoured that the Mayor will, if the report is adverse, raise the money as authorised by the ratepayer?, and the work will be proceeded with. An inquest was hold at Hastwell to-day on the body of the young womin Sarah Tyson, who died on Sunday. The postmortem revealed the fact that death was due to an ulcerated stomach. A verdict of death from natural causes was returned. Au inquiry was held at Eketahuna on Monday into the fire at Mr Colville's, Bongomai, last April. There was no evidence to show how the fire originated, and a verdict was returned accordingly.
