NEW ZEALAND TELEGRAMS.
Frees Association. Christchurch, December 17. Ebenezer Sandford, formerly M.H.R. for Christchurch, died this evening from inflammation of the lungs after a short illness of 48 hours. He was 49 years of age. At a meeting of representatives of the Shipping, Insurance and Freezing Companies and Farmers* Co-operative Association to-day it was decided to ask the Government to co-operate with the shipping and freezing companies in obtaining the erection of a sorting shed for frozen meat at London Dock,, and to guarantee a proportionate part of the sum required by the dock companies should there be any loss in connection with the working of such sheds.
