The object of the conference is to arrange for a Uniform action iri dealing with the tick plague; placing the export trade on a better footing, so far as a reduction of freights, uniformity of grading, arid distribution of exports is concerned; taking steps to refute the recent allegations made in England with reference to Australian meat j Uniform branding of stock - utilisation of Perkins’ sterilised air process for the preservation of fruit.
