THE EXHIBITION.
For this evening Mr Seager has prepared a really good selection of lantern views, including a. tour through the Tower; a groat fire, with realistic effects ; and “ Clinging to the Cross,” with organ accompaniment. At the Exhibition sports ground to-night Mr Fred Hunt, tho champion cash cyclist of the Colony, winner of the Christchurch Wheel Race, of £3O, will endeavonr to establish unpaced records for one, two and three miles. Tho Garrison Band will be in attendance as usual.
Minifie's orchestra give another of their afternoon programmes to-day, the items appearing in another column. In the Exhibition column special attention is drawn to tho fact that the executive have made satisfactory arrangements with the proprietors of the “ Clnematographe,” which, we are informed, is now showing for the first time in New Zealand. This machine is of the latest design, and the pictures are said to be clear, and good. r i he fact that the very moderate charge of fid for adults, and.ld for chlUren is aeked for admission will no doubt ensure large audiences.
