By Telegraph. — Association. ■ • Dunedin, Decomber 17. At the first of the season’s wool sales to-day there was a good attendance. Tho total number of bales catalogued was 4944. Tho prices, although equivalent to London values, are tot equal to thoso of last season, and longwools and crossbreds must bo quoted at from Jd to Id per lb below thoso ruling ut our opening sale last year. Merino wools have

not suffered .tti the same extent, but, owing to the superior condition of tho wools, some clips realised prices almost equal to those of last wjason. The following was tho range of values.
