CHEAP EXCURSION FARES— ' First-class, 2d per mile ; second-class, Id per mile (minimum, 4s and 2s respectively) ; mileage counted one way only. Tickets at these lares will be obtainable from any Station to any Station from Monday, 21st December, 1893, to Saturday, 2nd January, 1897, and will be available for return for one calendar month from date of issue. These tickets may bo extended to make them available for return for a further period of 14 days under the usual conditions. NEW TEAR’S DAY— Waiearapa Caledonian Society’s Sports at Masterton— Train leaves Newman at 8.93 a.m., and leaves Masterton on return at 6.25 p m. Wellington Caledonian Society’s Sports at Wellington. Catholic Picnic at Belmont Pare (Seoond-olass only, including Admission to Grounds), Adults, 2s; for every two Children under 15 years of age, Is 3d; half tickets may he obtained. Trains leave Te Aro at 8.41 and 10.13 a.m., and Wellington, 8.50 and 10.25 a.m.; return trains leave Belmont -at 5.20 and 6.18 p.m. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS— On THURSDAY, the 24th December, the 6 p.m. train from Masterton to Eketahuna will not run. A train will leave Masterton for Eketahuna at 8 p.m. This train connects with 3,15 p m. train from To Aro. The ordinary 0.5 p.m train from Te Aro will be delayed until 6,15 p.m., and will run through to Masterton, arriving there at 10.44 The 9.15 p m. train Lower Hutt to Te Aro dll not run. Trains will leave Lower Hutt for Te Aro at 0 and 10.15 p.m., and leave To Aro for jowor Hutt at 9.20 and 11.5 p.m., and Weiington at 9.30 and 11.15 p.m. The 11,5 from 'e Aro and 11.15 from Wellington will run bromdi to Upper Hutt, On THURSDAY, 31st December, evening rain service between Lower Hutt and Te L ro will ho the same as for Thursday, 24th leeombor, with the oxpectionof the 11.5 from 'o Aro and 11.15 from Wellington, which will un to Lower Hutt only.
