Tho General Post Office is carrying out a ■aorie&ot experiments in JhQ„transmission of electric waves. , T’heso .have, been transmitted and received without .any connecting 'Vires. Mr W.- Henry Prcepo, of the Engineering; Department; of Telegraphs, considers that tho system will be of considerable value as a moans of communication between lighthouses and ships at sea.
