AN APPEAL.

TO THE EDITOH. Sib,—Would you kindly allow me to appeal through tho columns of your paper on behalf of the poor whom I labour amongst. As it is tho season of the year that nearly all are enjoying, let ns not forget those who are in distress. There are many who cannot afford to get a Christmas dinner or to give their little ones a toy or doll, and there are widows with families of little ones who cannot afford anything in the way ef Christmas cheer. It is for them that ! appeal through your columns; Thanking you for your ’ former kiudness in publishing my appeal last year, and also hoping all tho kind friends who assisted last year will assist again in the good work,—l am, &e., Jessie Fulton. 56, Cambridge terrace, December 11th, 1896.
