NEW ZEALAND KENNEL CLUB.

The Now Zealand Kennel Club met at tho Trocadero last night,’Mr W. H. S. Moorhouse presiding.. * A complaint was received from the Manawatu Agricultural and Pastoral Association, affiliated •to the Kennel Club, in regard to the conduct of an exhibitor at their lae t show, when He was apparently dissatisfied with the judging. It was decided to ask the exhibitor to write expressing regret at the incident. A letter was read in reference to a matter arising out of the Wellington Agricultural and Pastoral show re a judge .having a dog consigned to him at tho railway station which wa« to be exhibited before him next day. The judge in question wrote stating tho facts and the peculiar position in which he was placed. No action was taken, the correspondence being received. Suggested regulations for tho conduct of. dog shows were next considered, including some amendments from the Auckland Club. The rules aa printed were adopted. On the motion of Mr H. A. Bligh, it was decided to write to kezmel clubs in the Australian colonies with a view to'ascertaining their opinion as to toe advisability of importing a first-class Englith judgo for all snows in every colony, and enquiring what proportion of tho expense involved they would bo prepared to contribute. Among other matters incidentally, discussed was the probability of a great Federal Dog Show being held in Sydney or Melbourne, at which New Zealand dogs would likely compete; and the advisableness of having a competent veterinary surgeon at every show.
