THE NATIONAL BANK.

At the half-yearly meeting of tho National Bank of Now Zealand, the report sliowed a credit balance of .£37,136, and the directors declared a dividend at the rate ot 5 per cent, for the year. It was decided to carry forward the sum of JMG96, and add 3120,000 to tho reserve fund. The deposits amounted to J 11,904,178, and cash, bills discounted and advances to .£2,423,970.
