MASTERTON.

A Salvation Army wedding was celebrated here on Sunday afternoon, tho contracting parties being-Mr George Wyeth; of Kurupuni, and Miss Horsfall. ..The ceremony was performed in tho Theatre Royal, and was witnessed by nearly 1000 persons. A meeting of the general committee of tho Masterton A gricultural and Pastoral Association was hold on Saturday afternoon, when it was decided to make an immediate canvass for subscriptions towards putting tho new show grounds in order. Tho main doctoral roll for tho Mastortou electorate will contain the names of about 4200 persons this year, about 200 more than were on tho complete roll in 1893. A special mooting of tho Masterton Licensing Bench is being hold at Pahiatua to-day to consider certain charges made against a hotel in that locality.
