INCREASE OP £47,503 FOR 1805. A comparative return of the Customs revenue for tho years 1834 and 1895 is published in. tho Gazette issued yesterday. The figures are : £1,572,467 for 1891, showing an increase of £17,5 3 for 1895. Auckland contributes an increase of £11,838, and Wellington an increase of £11,377, while Dunedin and Lyttelton show decreases of *-3161 and £650 respectively. The returns of Customs revenue for the four leading ports during 1895 and 1894 aro'aa follow :
