Sir James Hector deposed as to the geological character of the country on the VYest Coast. John Higgins, engineer of the Grey County Council, Herbert Cox, gold buyer and stovekeeper atNoiown, H. H. J. Beeves,ex-M.H.K., John Hargraves, F, J. Gleoson, Denis Kyall, Thomas George Davis, James Robertson, Jeremiah McCarthy, John Flynn and Frank Pitt, all residents on the West Coast, gave evidence as to tho mining reserves being inquired for mining purposed. Mr Cooper put in a summary of cash received by the Company. • At 5.15 p.m. the Court adjourned till 10 o’clock this morning, when evidence will be tendered-with respect to the land in the Marina Valley. The case for the Crown is expected to be through by Thursday next.
