Tho treasurer reported the overdraft at; the" Bank >'df New Zealand at i!4l 3s sd, butthat advice had been received that asubsidy of .£57 19s 4d on the rates of 189394'and 1894-93 has'been passed by tho Land and - IncCnie 'Tax Department. Accounts' amounting id'-.£27 4s 8d were passed ’for payment; It was resolved to carry out .the-clause of the Public Works Act, relativeito gorse and.Sweetbriar growing alongsidoproportios. •;; The question of fixing tip the new firaljoU by tho courthouse tvas left to; the Works Committee, Instructions were given to tho ranger to bo more stringent in regard to keeping cattle off tho roads. It was resolved to let tho FoathCrston Dairy Company have the uso of' the boafdroom for -C2 per annum.
