A new Connecticut law forbids the defacing 1 of trees, rocks or buildings by the posting of show bills without the owner's consent. A discovery of very great importance to these who bum candles has just been made, and is now being applied to candles made by pur local Company. The discovery enables the manufacturers to turn out candles, that, when blown out, do not simmer and leave any spark at the end of the wick, thereby disposing of the unpleasant smell and smoke that usually follows the extinguishing of an ordinary candles. Consumers who wish to benefit from this discovery should ask for any of the brands of the New Zealand Candle Company, who are the. only manufacturers entitled to use the new invention.
