OTAGO REUNION.

The second annual reunion of the; old. residents of,Otago took place last night ;in Thomas’ Hall, - and was very largely attended. ; The; hall was most* tastefully l decorated with bunting, and- above the stage ; was a, streamer on<:which was.' in-: scribed the good old Caledonian; precept " Should -Auhi Acquaintance be (Forgot.’’ ■> The chair was taken by Mr ,D. Pinkerton, M.H.R., and he; was supported ' on-the platform by the Hon the Premier; the. Hon ,J. G. Ward, Sir Robert Stout and Mr H. S. Fish, • Mayor iof . Dunedin. Mr ■ IL •} O') (Bell; M.H.R., who had promised to be-pre- 1 sent in his capacity as an old Dunedinite, was absent owing- to the -deathvbf Mr' Justice Richmond. ■ The Chairman in very: feeling terms ro- ! ferred to the , death of Mr Justice Richmond, who for a number iof years was:a resident of Otago, and moved that the; meeting i transmit to Mrs Richmond - a letter of condolence in her bereavement.’-; ---- The resolution was seconded by the-Hon T.
