We regret to record the death of Mr A. Levers, which occurred at his residence, Hutt road, on Sunday last. Per the past 17 years deceased had boon employed at the Petone railway workshops, in whiph position he had gained the .respect of his officers and follow-employees. .Ho was a prominent member of the Petone Pire Brigade, and was formerly a member of the Petone Navals.

Mr Hugh Aplin. organist of St. Paul’s Church, Napier, died on t Sunday. The deceased gentlemen, who arrived in Hawke’s .Bay many years ago, was widely known and greatly respected.
